AUTHOR GUIDELINES
JAKAP – Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan dan Cakrawala Pembelajaran welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews relevant to the fields of education and learning. Authors are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency, quality, and academic integrity in publication.
Article Format and Structure
Authors should ensure that their manuscripts follow the structure outlined below:
Title
- The title should be concise, clear, and reflect the content of the article.
- Maximum 15 words in Indonesian or 12 words in English.
Author(s) and Affiliation
- Full name(s) without academic titles.
- Institutional affiliation(s) and email address(es) (institutional email is recommended).
Abstract
- Written in both Indonesian and English.
- Length: 150–250 words.
- Must include the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Followed by 3–5 keywords.
Introduction
- Explains the research background, problem formulation, objectives, and relevant literature review.
Research Method
- For empirical studies, describe the research design, population and sample, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures.
- For conceptual or literature review articles, explain the analytical approach and framework used.
Results and Discussion
- Present research findings clearly and systematically.
- Tables, figures, and charts may be included when necessary.
- Discuss findings by relating them to previous studies and relevant theories.
Conclusion and Recommendations
- Summarize the main findings of the study.
- Provide implications, recommendations, or directions for future research.
Acknowledgements (Optional)
- Acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that contributed to the research.
References
- References must follow the latest edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) Style.
- A minimum of 15 references is required.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use recent references published within the last five years from reputable journals, academic books, and other credible sources.
Manuscript Preparation Requirements
Manuscript Length
- 4,000–7,000 words, including references.
Document Format
- Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format (Microsoft Word).
- Margins: 3 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
- Font: Arial, 11 pt.
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- Text alignment: Justified.
Tables and Figures
- All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and provided with clear titles.
- Sources must be acknowledged when adapted or reproduced from other publications.
Citation and Reference Guidelines
JAKAP uses an author-date in-text citation system based on APA Style.

Submission and Review Process
Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS) or via the editorial email.
Peer-Review Process
- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two reviewers.
- Editorial decisions may include:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
Revision and Publication
- Authors are given an opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.
- Accepted manuscripts will be scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of the journal.
Publication Policies
Originality and Plagiarism
- Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
- The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%.
Conflict of Interest
- Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research outcomes or interpretation.
