PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Sultra Elementary School will undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity.

Steps in the Peer Review Process

1. Initial Screening by the Editor
Every submitted manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure compliance with the journal’s focus and scope, completeness of submission files, and adherence to the author guidelines and journal template. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the author for revision before proceeding to the review stage.

2. Assignment of Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of study. Reviewers are selected from academic and professional backgrounds with strong publication records and expertise in education and related disciplines.

3. Double-Blind Review Process
During the double-blind review, reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality, relevance, research methodology, clarity of argumentation, depth of analysis, and contribution to educational knowledge and practice. The review process typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks.

4. Reviewer Recommendations
Based on their evaluations, reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accepted without revision

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Accepted with major revisions

  • Rejected

5. Revision by Authors
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ feedback. Each revision must be accompanied by a response to reviewer form, detailing how the comments were addressed systematically and clearly.

6. Final Editorial Decision
After the revised manuscript is submitted, the editor will make the final decision—whether the manuscript is accepted, requires further review, or is rejected. The editor’s decision is final and based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the paper.

7. Editing and Publication
Accepted manuscripts will undergo final language editing, layout formatting, and proofreading before being published online in the scheduled issue.
