Jurnal Sultra Elementary School requires that all submitted manuscripts include valid, relevant, and up-to-date references. All references used in the article must support the arguments presented and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of elementary education. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in citation and bibliography formatting.
To help authors manage references effectively, the journal recommends the use of the following tools:
Mendeley – a reference management tool that allows authors to store, organize, and automatically format citations according to APA Style (7th Edition).
Zotero – an open-source software that helps authors collect, organize, and generate citations automatically based on the selected citation style.
EndNote – a professional software for managing citations and references, supporting various citation styles including APA (7th Edition).
Grammarly – a language-checking tool that assists authors in improving grammar, spelling, and writing style. Although it does not manage references, it ensures that manuscripts are written in clear and high-quality English.
The following sources are accepted and encouraged for citation in submitted manuscripts:
Scholarly journal articles (national and international)
Academic books and textbooks
Dissertations or theses from accredited academic institutions
Research reports from reputable organizations or institutions
Reliable online sources such as online journals, academic databases, and official organizational websites
Authors are required to use APA Style (7th Edition) for both in-text citations and the reference list. Every citation in the text must correspond to an entry in the reference list, and all listed references must be cited in the text.
Single author: (Author, Year)
Two authors: (Author & Author, Year)
Three or more authors: (Author et al., Year)
References must be arranged alphabetically by the authors’ last names.
All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
Primary sources (such as journal articles and academic books) are preferred over secondary sources (such as websites or popular media).
Authors should avoid using unverifiable or non-credible sources.
References older than 10 years are not recommended unless they are classic or foundational works relevant to the study.
Authors must update their reference lists to include the most recent and relevant publications related to their research topic.
All references must be properly cited to maintain academic integrity and prevent plagiarism.
