PUBLICATION ETHICS

Jurnal Sultra Elementary School is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publication practices. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the ethical principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follow internationally recognized standards of scientific publishing.

Ethics for Authors

  • Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • All sources of data, theories, and references used must be properly cited following academic conventions.

  • Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and data fabrication or falsification, is strictly prohibited.

  • Authors are not allowed to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • In the case of multiple authorship, all co-authors must have contributed significantly to the research and agreed to the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Ethics for Editors

  • Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, regardless of the author’s race, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, or nationality.

  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and protect the identities of both authors and reviewers.

  • Editors may not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for personal or institutional gain.

  • Editors should take appropriate action when ethical misconduct is suspected, in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Ethics for Reviewers

  • Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to help improve the quality of the manuscript.

  • Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the review process and may not share or discuss the manuscript with unauthorized parties.

  • Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest, whether personal, institutional, or financial, and must decline to review if such conflicts exist.

  • Reviewers should report any signs of plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical violations found in the manuscript.

Ethics for the Publisher

  • The publisher is responsible for ensuring that the publication process follows established academic and ethical standards.

  • The publisher must promote transparency, accountability, and integrity throughout the editorial and review process.

  • In cases of ethical misconduct or disputes, the publisher will work closely with editors and authors to take appropriate corrective action, including retraction or correction when necessary.
