Abstract

The transformation of elementary school management requires managerial approaches that can improve efficiency, quality, resource optimization, and schools’ capacity to respond to change. This study aims to analyze the relevance and forms of adapting industrial principles to elementary school management. A literature review approach was employed by analyzing scientific publications addressing lean management, Total Quality Management, standardization, quality control, PDCA, data-driven management, human resources, and educational innovation. The analysis consisted of identification, selection, categorization, synthesis, and interpretation of relevant literature. The findings indicate that industrial principles can be adapted through administrative process simplification, elimination of non-value-added activities, service standardization, quality control, data-driven decision-making, optimization of human resource competencies, and innovation development. Based on the literature synthesis, a transformation model was developed: Input → Process → Quality Control → Continuous Improvement → Innovation. This model positions evaluation and data as foundations for continuous improvement. However, the implementation of industrial principles must consider the characteristics of education as a human-centered process. Therefore, efficiency should not reduce learning quality, while standardization should not restrict teachers’ creativity and pedagogical flexibility. The adaptation of industrial principles can serve as a managerial strategy for developing elementary schools that are more efficient, quality-oriented, adaptive, innovative, and sustainable.
