Pendidikan Agama Islam Sebagai Sarana Mengurangi Ketimpangan Dan Mendorong Keadilan Sosial

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in shaping the character, morals, and social awareness of students. This literature review aims to explore the role of PAI in reducing social inequality and promoting social justice in society. The study was conducted through a review of various literature related to education, social issues, and Islamic teachings, including academic books, scientific articles, and previous research publications. The results indicate that PAI not only emphasizes aspects of worship and morals but also teaches the principles of justice, equality, and concern for others, which can be applied in both formal and non-formal educational contexts. Education based on Islamic values can foster empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility in students, thus potentially reducing social disparities. Furthermore, the integration of social justice values into the PAI curriculum fosters a critical understanding of issues of economic inequality, gender inequality, and access to education. In conclusion, PAI has a significant contribution to building a more just and inclusive society through education based on Islamic moral and social values. This study provides a theoretical foundation for educators, policymakers, and researchers in designing educational programs that prioritize social justice.
