PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The JHUSE (Journal of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the published research. This process involves the following steps:

1. Submission and Initial Screening

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the JHUSE online submission system.
  • The editorial team conducts an initial screening to check the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and adherence to the journal's guidelines.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria are rejected or returned for revision before proceeding to the review stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

  • The manuscript is sent to two or more independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  • The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous to ensure an unbiased evaluation.
  • Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field.

3. Reviewers' Feedback and Editorial Decision

  • Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
    1. Accepted with minor revisions – The manuscript requires slight modifications before publication.
    2. Accepted with major revisions – The manuscript requires significant improvements, and the revised version will be reassessed.
    3. Rejected with an option to resubmit – The manuscript has potential but needs substantial revisions before being reconsidered.
    4. Rejected – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards.

4. Author Revisions and Resubmission

  • Authors are given a specified time frame to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers’ feedback.
  • The revised manuscript is re-evaluated by either the original reviewers or the editorial team.

5. Final Decision and Publication

  • Once the revisions are approved, the manuscript undergoes final editing, formatting, and proofreading.
  • The accepted article is published online and assigned a DOI for easy citation and access.

Ethical Considerations

  • JHUSE follows strict ethical guidelines to prevent plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and research misconduct.
  • The review process adheres to the ethical standards of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

This rigorous peer review process ensures that JHUSE maintains high academic standards and contributes valuable research to the fields of humanities, social sciences, and education.
