AUTHOR GUIDELINES

JHUSE (Journal of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education)

  1. General Requirements
  • Articles must be original and unpublished in other journals or conferences.
  • Manuscripts must be written in academic Indonesian or English following scientific standards.
  • Article length: 4,000 – 8,000 words, including abstract, tables, and references.
  • Submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx/.doc) format.
  1. Manuscript Structure
    a. Title
  • Written in Indonesian, reflecting the research content (max. 15 words).
  • Use Title Case with capital letters at the beginning of each word.

b. Author Information

  • Full name of the author(s) (without academic title).
  • Complete institutional affiliation.
  • Corresponding author's primary email.

c. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract in Indonesian and English, 150–250 words.
  • Contains research objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.

d. Introduction

  • Presents research background, problems, objectives, and relevant literature review.
  • Includes recent references (last 5 years).

e. Methodology

  • Describes research design, sampling techniques, instruments, and data analysis methods.
  • If human subjects are involved, ethical approval should be mentioned.

f. Results and Discussion

  • Presents key findings with tables, graphs, or images if needed.
  • Analysis of results linked to theories and previous studies.

g. Conclusion

  • Summarizes main findings and their implications.
  • Should not repeat information from previous sections.

h. References

  • Follow APA Style (latest edition).
  • Minimum 15 references, with 80% from recent journal articles (last 5 years).
  1. Writing Format
  • Font: Arial, size 12 pt, line spacing: 1.5.
  • Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • Paragraph: Justified (left and right alignment).
  • Tables and Figures: Must be numbered and clearly titled.
  1. Submission and Review Process
  • Manuscripts must be submitted via OJS (Open Journal System) or the official journal email.
  • Each article undergoes a double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
  • The review process takes approximately 1-4 weeks.
  1. Publication Ethics
  • Authors must adhere to research and publication ethics.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited (maximum tolerance 30%).
  • If ethical violations are found, the article will be rejected or retracted.
  1. Publication Fee
  • This journal does not charge any publication fees (free of charge).
  • However, if an article is accepted for publication, authors may be required to pay an administrative fee (if applicable).
  1. Copyright and License
  • Authors retain copyright but grant the journal an open-access publication license.
  • Articles are published under the CC Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided proper attribution is given.
