PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Jurnal Edukasi dan Pembelajaran Anak Usia Dini implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of every article published. In this process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another throughout the review procedure. The peer review process consists of the following stages:

1. Submission and Initial Screening

The editorial team conducts an initial assessment of each submitted manuscript to ensure its compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and publication ethics. Manuscripts are also screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Submissions that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without proceeding to the peer review stage.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, and competence in the manuscript’s field of study.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, significance of findings, and compliance with publication ethics. Following the evaluation, reviewers provide comments and recommendations, which may include:

  • Accept without Revision (rare)
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Accept with Major Revisions
  • Reject (due to significant methodological weaknesses, ethical concerns, or insufficient scholarly contribution)

4. Author Revision

Authors receive the reviewers’ comments and are given a specified period to revise their manuscript accordingly. Revised submissions must be accompanied by a Response Letter detailing how each reviewer comment has been addressed and incorporated into the revised manuscript.

5. Final Editorial Decision

The editor evaluates the revised manuscript together with the authors’ response letter. If necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for an additional round of review. The final publication decision is made based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revisions submitted by the authors.

6. Copyediting and Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo final copyediting, proofreading, formatting, and quality checks before publication. Articles that successfully complete these stages are published as Open Access content under a Creative Commons License.
