Editors are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and protecting the identities of authors and reviewers throughout the review process. Editors ensure that manuscripts undergo a fair, objective, and timely peer-review process conducted by qualified reviewers. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and take appropriate actions, including corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, when ethical issues arise.
